Our Mac Mini which acts as the home server feeding iTunes into our AppleTV, storing our photos and videos, and having over a terabyte of external drive capacity is back to the shop for repair. Apple's been sloppy lately -- the first Mini we received was dead on arrival, the replacement developed fan control issues and started overheating.
If you are considering a Mac Mini keep this in mind -- it is a great machine, gives you the best bang per buck among all Macs. However, as they told me at the Apple Store last night the fan control wire connection is right behind the USB ports. In our case with all four ports occupied all you needed to do is tap one of the USB cables and the fan would shut off!
Most people probably wouldn't even notice this problem. Even if you do you can work around it by using a USB hub for devices you plan on plugging and unplugging all the time. It is a good idea, I suppose, to place more wear and tear on a cheap USB hub rather than your computer. But that has never been the issue on any computer I used in the past.

This cool as hell product from Microsoft that runs on Windows Mobile devices lets you scan a barcode using the phone's built-in camera and then find the information about the product such as reviews, prices, etc.
