Obama has won the battle for all of us

Congratulations! I hope Obama will be a wise President. Anyway if I were an American I would vote for democrats.
I read the criticism that we shouldn't be talking about Obama's racial heritage if we are truly supposed to be a nation that considers ability and ignores race. Well, though, that's exactly the point.Obama's election proves that we have made such progress since people were able to ignore his racial background and consider his ability. That's why this election should give hope to Americans of all races. I'm happy about his ability AND the fact that voters looked beyond skin color.
[this is good]

greetings,

AKP wrote:"we are truly supposed to be a nation that considers ability and ignores race."

While i took liberty to delete the [if], the statement is somewhat true. We are indeed supposed to be a nation that considers ability and ignores race; that is the foundation of multiculturalism.

Oleg, yet it was your post that caught my attention, specifically your statement: Barack Obama has won it for all of us.

how true!

thank you, peace:ws

If a half-Kenyan, half-American guy with big ears and "Hussein" for his middle name can become a president of the United States of America it means a girl born to Jewish immigrants can accomplish that too.

Good Point!!!!

Who cares of origin of the guy. He must be an effective manager. Period. If he is -- let him go!
You'd be surprised. Americans elected a president named Barack Hussein Obama . Half the population thinks that he is an islamic terrorist.
Hehe. It is a syndrome of Georgia when it is not an American state but a Caucasian piece of the USSR. Foreign affairs, obviously, are not matter of vulgar American citizen mind.
